According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies and Hawthorne police officers arrived to find a woman with gunshot wounds lying near the scene. She was pronounced dead on arrival. Loved ones have since confirmed the victim’s identity as Amber Nicole, a resident of Los Angeles.
Witnesses at the scene reported that an argument between Amber and two other women began inside the bar and escalated after they exited the building. In a horrifying turn of events, the suspects allegedly dragged Amber out of a vehicle and shot her multiple times in the abdomen before fleeing in a silver-colored car.
Authorities have not yet confirmed these details but say the suspects remain at large. No arrests have been made, and no suspect descriptions have been officially released.
Amber Nicole’s cousin, KyEshia Starr West, shared a heartbreaking tribute on social media:
“My heart is heavy, and I’m shaking with grief. Amber Nicole, I was just with you there a couple of weeks ago—laughing, having fun. I can’t believe you’re gone, cuzzo. They didn’t have to take your life, take you away from your kids, your family! Fly high, you’re at peace. I love you dearly and will miss you so much.”
A canopy was erected over the crime scene as investigators gathered evidence and questioned witnesses. The surrounding area was cordoned off with crime scene tape while bar-goers looked on in disbelief.
Amber Nicole leaves behind six children, now forced to grow up without their mother. Community members have called for justice and for anyone with information to come forward.
