We announce the passing of Geoffrey Mock of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, who died unexpectedly on July 17, 2025. He was 39 years old.
A proud native of Sicklerville, New Jersey, Geoffrey’s journey was defined by service, purpose, and a deep commitment to public good. He earned his undergraduate degree from Kutztown University and later completed his Juris Doctor at Widener Law School. From his earliest days, Geoffrey was driven by a desire to advocate for others, a calling he fulfilled with unwavering passion throughout his career.
Geoffrey began his public service with U.S. Senator Bob Casey’s office as a Regional Representative, helping countless Pennsylvanians navigate complex systems and find their voices. He later served as Legislative Director for Pennsylvania State Senator Christine Tartaglione, where he played a pivotal role on the Labor and Industry Committee—fighting to raise the minimum wage and championing workers’ rights across the state.
Most recently, Geoffrey served as Associate Director of Government Relations at Lehigh University. There, he tirelessly advocated for policies that promoted the university’s mission and the broader goals of higher education. His colleagues remember him not only for his intelligence and work ethic but also for his kindness, humility, and enduring belief in the power of education and advocacy to change lives.
Geoffrey was much more than his professional accomplishments. He was a devoted husband to Danica, and a loving father to their two young children—Chancellor, age 2, and Amia, just 4 months old. He was a cherished son, a loyal brother, and a true friend to many. His sudden loss leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of all who knew him.
In the wake of this tragedy, friends and loved ones have come together to support Danica and the children as they navigate life without Geoffrey. A fundraiser has been launched to help cover funeral expenses, household needs, and care for the children during this immensely difficult time.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the coming weeks to honor Geoffrey’s memory, legacy, and the love he brought into this world. Details will be shared with friends and family soon.
Geoffrey Mock’s life was one of impact and meaning. He leaves behind a legacy of public service, advocacy, and compassion. He will be remembered always—with love, respect, and gratitude.
